How windy is the drive and what are the conditions?
The drive to Falls Creek, Mount Hotham and Mount Buller is quite straightforward when weather conditions are clear. The roads are all sealed and well maintained but they do twist and turn a lot due to the mountain ascent. If you are prone to motion sickness we suggest you speak to your doctor or pharmacist to discuss travel sickness medications. We can supply plastic bags in case of emergency.
Since Albury Wodonga Snow Transfers specialises in transfers to snow fields, sometimes the weather can be inclement, visibility poor or the roads icy. Whilst we always drive with snow chains in all our vehicles, we will prioritise your safety first. If conditions are poor, transfer times to the mountain may be slower or we may even have to delay your departure.
How long will it take to get there?
The length of time it takes to get from Albury Airport to the snowfields depends on which mountain you choose and the weather conditions at the time.
Approximate travel time to each resort is:
Albury Airport to Falls Creek – 1hr 45 mins
Albury Airport to Mount Hotham – 2hrs 20 mins
Albury Airport to Mount Buller – 2hrs 50 mins

I want to hire my snow gear. How do I do that?
Most of our customers do their ski hire on the mountain after they arrive. There are plenty of places to hire skis, snowboards and even snow clothing. The customer service information staff on the mountain can direct you to the closest retail outlet.
What are conditions like on the mountain? Should I be wearing all my snow gear in the car?
It is highly like to be very cold and (hopefully) snowing when you arrive. Albury Wodonga Snow Transfers suggests that you take your snow boots, snow jackets, gloves and hats in the back seat with you so that you will arrive suitably dressed for your snow holiday.
